GERMANY

After our time in Italy we took a short flight to Germany to visit Leif's older sister Austin and her family. They have been living overseas for the past few years and it was so fun to see them! Being around kids always makes me a little baby hungry hehe.

In the town they live there were the cutest little flower fields that we went and walked around. They have flower clippers there and a box where you put money if you pick any. Love how honest people are there!

Germany was really nice because we put our cameras away for the most part and just enjoyed family time. We visited the Neuschwanstein Castle which was really cool! It was Disney's inspiration for the Sleeping Beauty Castle and it is so so pretty. It is always a bummer when you go to see cool places and there are sooooo many tourists. Obviously we are tourists as well and contribute to the problem but it makes it hard when there are a ton of people talking and trying to take photos in the same spot. We did a mini hike and went to a less crowded spot to see it which was awesome. That is probably one of my biggest tips when traveling. Get off the beaten path (not only to get cool photos) but to just enjoy the view more!

We also took a weekend trip to Garmisch, which is a beautiful town in Germany. We drove through Austria to get there and there were paragliders everywhere. It looked so incredible. We are really wanting to paraglide sometime soon! I am not a fan of heights but for some reason feel like I could totally do that. Stay tuned. haha

Then to end our trip we did a day trip to Strasbourg France. It is such a charming little place! You can view that blog post here.
