ICELAND

We spent this weekend in Iceland filming a really fun project! It was a styled bridal film of our new friends Stephanie + Nick and I am SOOO excited to show you guys. I think Iceland is one of the most unreal places that exists. It truly feels like you are on another planet-everything is so vast and beautiful. I went a few years ago in the dead of winter (which I don't recommend doing-by FAR the coldest I have ever been!!!), so it was amazing to be there with warmer weather and more greenery. Something to note about Iceland is that it is extremely expensive (especially food)!! But we honestly were so busy the whole time, I think we had like three meals total the whole trip. Haha

We went to the grocery store a few times to get little snacks and cereal/milk for breakfast which made it more affordable. I always recommend grocery shopping on trips to save money and also eat a little healthier! If you stay at Airbnb's, it is easier to do this because usually you will have a kitchen! Speaking of booking on Airbnb, I have people messaging me all the time asking how I find the places we stay! I don't think I really do anything special, but I'm probably going to include a little about this in my travel tips video/blog post. I have seriously been putting together my travel tips together for MONTHS. I haven't decided exactly how I want to release them-there are so many so I might have to do it in a few separate posts. Let me know if you guys have any specific travel questions that I can answer for you!

We really didn't take too many photos on this trip because we were there for work, but I did bring my new film camera which I snapped some candids on, so I started the blog post out with those! I love this camera because it is small and lightweight and I feel like you have to be a little more intentional with the photos you take because there is only a certain amount in the roll of film. I am so used to shooting on my digital camera where I can just take a bunch of photos and delete the ones I don't like. It has pushed me out of my comfort zone with photography which has been awesome. There is something about film photos that are just so nostalgic-I am loving the process of taking them then getting the film developed! If you are interested in getting a beginner's film camera, definitely look into the Canon AE-1.

Hope you guys enjoy these pics and be on the lookout for the video we filmed! We will post it on our Youtube Channel. xo
