BARCELONA

I wish I had more photos to share with you guys from our time in Barcelona. It was a pretty rough few days for us! The day after we got there I got really bad food poisoning and was sick for two days straight. Then the day I started to feel better, it was a national holiday in Barcelona and EVERYTHING was closed. The day after that it poured rain all day and our last day there was a Sunday and most everything was closed then too. I was SO bummed! I had been looking forward to going to Park Guell and a few other places that we weren't able to see!

Something I learned about traveling for long periods of time is that you NEED time to rest. Normally when we go on a trip, I want to wake up early and see everything we can see but after traveling for 2 months straight I learned you need to take time to just rest and recuperate. Even though I didn't like being sick or the bad weather, it was nice to just stay in our hotel for a few days and watch Netflix and get caught up on editing.

Speaking of hotels, Soho House Barcelona was probably our favorite hotel we have ever stayed in! It had such a beautiful interior and the service was amazing. We really loved it.

We went to eat at Brunch and Cake a few times because most of the menu is plant based! I thought the food itself was good but not incredible. Mostly I feel like what is so awesome is the presentation. It is a really cool place!

My favorite thing we did was go up to the Bunkers del Carmel where you can see panoramic views of Barcelona. We watched the sunset up there and it really was incredible! We took the subway to the closest stop we could get to and then walked for about 20 minutes to get to the top.

I wish we could have seen more and stayed longer but that just means we definitely have to come back!! Next stop on our journey was BALI!!! Blog post coming soon.
